Loans4SME wins $50,000 from Village Capital, and completes transactions worth USD $5.7 million

Loans4SME, a 2015-2016 India Lab instrument that launched in April 2016 as a marketplace to catalyze cash-flow based loans for small businesses. Since July 2016, it has closed transactions with a total deal size of INR 38 crore, or USD $5.7 million. 80% of these transactions have been in support of SMEs in renewable energy and infrastructure.

Through strategic partnerships with over 40 lenders, Loans4SME has created pools of capital in excess of $100 million to provide loans ranging from $30,000 to $1 million to small businesses operating in renewable energy, cleantech, infrastructure and other high impact areas.

In addition, Village Capital, a financial tech accelerator program, committed $50,000 in funding to Loans4SME, and named Loans4SME one of the top financial tech startups in India. Loans4SME is also currently raising an additional $450,000 to invest in technology and team expansion.
